Mary Cragg

 

Qualifications: Cert Ed, Dip SpLD (OCR)

I began my career as a class teacher but have worked in the field of Special Educational Needs for over 25 years, first as part of Cambridgeshire Learning Support Service and then Peterborough Learning Support Service. In 2003 I was a founder member of Support For Learning with Wendy and Hilary. As part of my consultancy role I have been a SENCO in a number of schools.

Wendy Neale

 

Qualifications: B.Ed., Ad. Dip. Ed. (Open), ADES (Cantab), RSA SpLD

With over 30 years teaching experience, I have completed a three year Open University course in Special Needs in Education. I also undertook a one year secondment to Cambridge Institute of Education during which time I worked in two special schools. In 1990’s I was Team Leader for Cambridgeshire’s Learning Support Service based in a Peterborough primary school. I obtained my dyslexia qualification in 1996. In addition I lead the Peterborough Learning Support Service (2000-2003). I have tutored dyslexic pupils for several years.

Hilary Gawden-Bone

 

Qualifications: BSc, Teacher's Certificate, Dip SPLD

I have 26 years working in SEN assessing, reporting and working with pupils. I am also a trained Reading Recovery Teacher. In addition to my assessment work I am SENCO at two primary schools in Peterborough and Learning/SENCO Support in a third school.

Nicola Ward

 

Qualifications: BA (QTS) Hons PG Dip SpLD NASENCO AMBDA

With 20 years’ experience of primary teaching I am currently a SENCO at a Peterborough primary school. I am a member of PACDDA (Peterborough & Cambridgeshire District Dyslexia Association). I work part time as a consultant for SFL.

Sue Deoraj

 

Qualifications: BSc.(Hons) QTS. Dip.SpLD

With a 25 year teaching career in Special Needs education, including working as SENCO and Head of an Enhanced Resource Base in a Peterborough secondary school, I have extensive experience of a wide range of disabilities. I am now working as a SEN consultant, conduct Access Arrangements in schools and work part time for SFL.

Sue Leeks

 

Qualifications: BA (Hons), PGCE, Dip SpLD

I was a primary school teacher for 26 years, initially in Bradford and then in a number of schools in Peterborough. I was SENCo in two schools. I qualified as a dyslexia specialist teacher at Leicester University in 2012. In 2014 I trained as a Reading Recovery Teacher and have extensive experience of working with children who experience difficulties with all aspects of literacy.

Ruth Gibson

 

Qualifications: BSC (hons), PGCE, OCR Cert SpLD

I have over 30 years’ experience as a primary school teacher and have worked in the field of SEN for over 25 years. Initially I was a Learning Support Teacher working in a variety of Peterborough schools and then became a school based SENCO. In addition I am an experienced 'Readers Count' teacher.
